6 Best Songs of 2018 So Far
Somehow its already halfway through 2018 so here are my top six songs of the year so far!
Bloom by Troye Sivan
I love this record. I've never really gotten into Troye's music in the past, it wasn't bad by any stretch but nothing really caught my eye until Bloom. I think its going to be a big hit for him and I'm wicked obsessed with it. Love that he named his album Bloom as well!
In My Blood by Shawn Mendes
I would easily include Nervous and Why and well honestly his entire album to this list if I could. But I'll stick with the #1 which is still AMAZING and honestly I think I've kind of forgotten about a bit because the rest of the album is so bomb, but IMB is still a major hit and has such deep lyrics and meaning, there was no way in hell it wouldn't make the list and I would be very surprised if this didn't make my list for best songs of the year when 2018 comes to a close.
No Tears Left to Cry by Ariana Grande
Obviously I got to put my girl Ari on this, especially since No Tears is the straight bop of the summer. When she announced the name of the lead single, I thought it might be a ballad but no girl, she turned it around and is picking it up, picking it up, yeah. You know this tune is going to be on the radio every fourth song so hopefully I don't get sick of it in a couple months, but right now I'm absolutely loving it and so looking forward to the Sweetener era!
Better Now by Post Malone
Posty did it again. beerbongs & bentleys is a masterpiece and we will definitely be getting several radio hits back to back like we did with Post's debut album Stoney. Better Now was easily my favorite when I first listened to the album (its since changed a bit) and will easily be on the Hot 200 for a while. It wasn't even promoted as one of his singles and its already everywhere.
Done For Me by Charlie Puth (ft. Kehlani)
Okay first time I heard this I was wicked obsessed. I'm already a big fan of Charlie Puth's voice and honestly really like a lot of work he's done. (For some reason I've heard Attention a million times and still jam every time) This song is really great and I love love love that he put Kehlani on it. Definitely the best choice for female vocals on the track and giving my girl the attention she deserves!
Youngblood by 5 Seconds of Summer
If you follow me on my socials, you probably guessed this song would be on here. I love it so much. I cannot wait for the album to drop because this is easily one of the songs of the year for me. I was never a huge fan of 5SOS, a lot of their stuff was a bit to teeny-bopper for my taste, but I'm so here for this new era.
